- Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 is in the works
- An early leak reveals its foldable screen will have less crease
- It is also said to house a bigger cover display
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 is in the works and is likely to debut in August 2023. Ross Young, a well-known display analyst from DCSS Consultants, told us some important things about the Galaxy Z Flip 5’s screens.
New information shared by Young reveals that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will offer some improvements in design as compared to the Galaxy Z Flip 4. Aside from these changes, the Z Flip 5 is also expected to make it easier to take photos. Here is a look at all that has been revealed about the Z Flip 5 through early leaks.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 design, display improvements: what to expect
According to Young, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will come equipped with a larger cover display. The Galaxy Z Flip 4 has a 1.9-inch OLED cover display, which is a major upgrade over the 1.1-inch cover display that was made available on the Galaxy Z Flip 3. The analyst claimed that the cover display of the Z Flip 5 might measure around 3.3 to 3.4 inches.
The other thing that Young has claimed is that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will have a “different hinge design, which should reduce the visibility of the seam.” So, it looks like the Z Flip 5’s new hinge design may make the horizontal crease on its foldable screen much less noticeable.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 other rumours
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 is expected to come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform. The Galaxy Z Flip 4 has an OIS-enabled 12-megapixel dual-camera system. It is speculated that the Z Flip 5 will arrive with a 50-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL Gen 3 primary camera. Since the South Korean tech giant has been launching its foldable phones in August for the past few years, it is likely that the Z Flip 5, as well as the Z Fold 5, may debut in August 2023.
