Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 renders reveal punch-hole displays and Mystic Bronze colour variant

Samsung is conducting its Galaxy Unpacked event on August 5th. Recently, the company released a teaser video revealing five products that are debuting at the event. Now ahead of the launch, the South Korean brand’s upcoming foldable device called Galaxy Z Fold 2 has been leaked in all its glory.

The renders of the foldable smartphone have been shared by MySmartPrice in collaboration with tipster Ishan Agarwal. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 will arrive in Mystic Bronze and Mystic Black colour options. The upcoming offering will be the successor to last year’s Galaxy Fold.

The Galaxy Z Fold 2 will feature a punch-hole camera on both the inner and outer display

The leaked renders reveal that the Galaxy Z Fold 2’s internal display will feature a centre-aligned punch-hole cutout instead of a side notch as found on its predecessor. The outer screen also gets a punch-hole selfie camera and is surrounded by thin bezels.

The exterior screen reportedly measures 6.23-inches with a 60Hz refresh rate, while the inner display is a 7.59-inch panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. In terms of design, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 features a Galaxy Note 20-like protruding rear camera setup inside a rectangular module. The right side of the phone houses a power button. The foldable smartphone is shown in Mystic Bronze and Mystic Black colours. 

As for the specifications, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 865+ processor coupled with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB onboard storage. The foldable smartphone could reportedly pack a 4,365mAh battery unit with support for 15W wireless charging. On the imaging front, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 is expected to come with 64MP main shooter, a 12MP wide-angle lens, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor and a 10MP front-facing camera. 

The Galaxy Z Fold 2 is tipped to cost $1,980 (~Rs 1,48,217). It’s just a matter of days till the launch event where we will know more details.
