Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 will not have a noticeable crease, according to a new report by Naver, a South Korean publication. As per the report, the Galaxy Z Fold 5, which is rumoured to debut in August this year, will be equipped with an entirely new waterdrop hinge mechanism. The idea behind incorporating a new hinge is to let both sides of the screen come into contact with each other without any gaps while folding.
The foldable screens of the Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 are unable to close completely because they are equipped with u-shaped hinges. The new hinge mechanism will cause the folding screen to form a droplet-like shape within the hinge body, preventing the panel from creasing.
