Samsung will unveil its Gear S3 smartwatch line comprising Gear S3 classic and Gear S3 frontier in India next week. Samsung has started sending out invites to a press event scheduled for January 10 in New Delhi. The event will also mark Samsung’s first major product launch in India in 2017. To recall, both these smartwatches were announced initially at last year’s IFA 2016 in Berlin.
In terms of the specifications of Samsung Gear S3 classic and S3 frontier, they flaunt a 1.3-inch circular AMOLED screen with 360 x 360 pixels resolution and the pixel density of 278 pixels per inch (PPI). Powering them under the hood is a 1GHz dual-core processor paired with 768MB RAM for multitasking and real-time computing.
Samsung Gear S3 classic and S3 frontier are based on Tizen-based wearable platform 2.3.2, offering as much as 4GB of internal storage. Furthermore, both the Gear S3 smartwatches are IP68 certified for carrying water and dust resistant capabilities. Inside is a 380mAh Lithium ion battery with wireless charging, which is claimed to last up to 4 days.
Completing the overall company offering is the standard set of sensors and connectivity options like a gyroscope, heart rate, barometer, ambient light, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and NFC. No price details are revealed just yet, though. Stay tuned to Pricebaba for more coverage on the very topic!
