Samsung is all set to update the Galaxy A series in India. The series first made its debut in Mar 2015 in India and was succeeded by the A (2016) series. The smartphones in question are the Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017), Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) and Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017). Our sources say that Samsung is expected to launch these devices in the next few weeks.
These devices offer different specifications and are priced in different segments. They also come in different sizes with the Galaxy A3 2017 being the smallest.
Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017)
The Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) is the entry level smartphone in the series and comes with basic hardware when compared to the others in the series. The A3 (2017) gets some decent hardware in the form of an Exynos 7870 and also rocks a fingerprint scanner on the front. We must also say that the phone looks quite premium and has the potential to win the market if priced correctly.

Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017)
The mid-ranger in the series, the A5 (2017) is slightly bigger and sports a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display. The smartphone is powered by a Exynos 7880 processor and is clocked at 1.9GHz. It also gets 3GB of RAM and packs in a 3000mAh battery. The A5 (2017) has a 16-megapixel primary camera along with a 16-megapixel selfie shooter. With the selfie craze on the upswing, it seems the A5 (2017) is prepped to go against the Vivo V5 Plus, Oppo F1s and the likes.

The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) pretty much showcases the best of the A series. The smartphone is considerably bigger at 5.7-inches and has a Full-HD display. The Galaxy A7 (2017) seems to be sharing a lot of hardware with the Galaxy A5 (2017). It sports the same Exynos 7880, 3GB RAM combination. The phone benefits from the bigger size by packing in a bigger 3600mAh battery.

All three phones in the A 2017 series are IP68 certified making them dust and water resistant. They all have a metal unibody, house a USB Type-C port at the bottom and run Android 6.0 Marshmallow. These smartphones have 4G and VoLTE connectivity, along with Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and WiFi. The pricing of these phones are not known at the moment but we are expecting the Galaxy A3 (2017) to be priced 15,999, the A5 (2017) at Rs. 22,999 and the A7 (2017) at Rs. 29,999.
