Samsung Launches Notebook 7 and Notebook 7 Force Laptops

Samsung has announced two new laptops – the Notebook 7 and Notebook 7 Force. The former comes in 13 and 15-inch display-variants while the later is offered in a 15-inch size. Let’s take a look below:

Notebook 7

Technical Specifications:

The Notebook 7 standard version can be availed in two display sizes of 13.3-inches and 15.6-inches. The Notebook 7 Force model comes in only a 15.6-inch size. Both the devices bear FHD+ resolution and come with slim bezels. The Notebook 7 looks identical to the MacBook Pro in terms of design. Both the laptops flaunt a metal chassis, with Silver on the regular Notebook 7 and Black on the 7 Force. The 13-inch Notebook 7 weighs 1.29 kg while the 15-inch tips the scales at 1.79 kgs. The Notebook 7 Force is slightly heavier weighing 1.91 kgs. Both the devices feature a backlit keyboard and a blue fingerprint reader. The 15-inch models also come with a full-sized numpad, while the 13-inch variant does not.

Under the hood, Samsung’s Notebook 7 lineup is powered by up to 8th Gen Core i7-8565U processors. Both the 13-inch and 15-inch versions of Notebook 7 come with integrated Intel UHD graphics. The latter also has the option for an Nvidia GeForce MX250 GPU. The Notebook 7 Force features a GTX 1650 GPU onboard. The Notebook 7 lineup is configurable with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD storage. For more faster performance, the 15.6-inch variant of Notebook 7 gets an additional SSD slot, while the 7 Force gets two.

Notebook 7 Force

Both the Notebook 7 13 and 15-inch variants have a 55Wh battery while the Notebook 7 Force is backed by a smaller 43Wh battery. On the connectivity front, all three laptops feature one USB Type-C port, two USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI port, a microSD card slot, and a headphone jack. Additionally, the Notebook 7 Force also comes with a security slot and RJ45 Ethernet port.  

Pricing & Availability:

The Notebook 7 lineup will go on sale from July 26.  The 13-inch and 15-inch variants of standard Notebook 7 have been priced at $999 (~Rs 69,398) and $1,099 (~Rs 76,344) respectively. The Notebook 7 Force carries a price tag of $1,499 (~Rs 1,04,113). No details regarding India availability and pricing are known at the moment.
