Samsung has launched a pick-up and drop service for smartphones and tablets in India. The facility is available for consumers in 46 cities across the country. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and state lockdowns, customers can get their devices repaired with the pick-up and drop service and not having to step out of their homes.
In a press release, Samsung said “We are confident our wide service network and many contactless service options will help deepen our consumer connect while providing greater convenience. We are hopeful consumers will utilize the pick-up and drop service while they stay home and stay safe,”

The Samsung pick-up and drop service is available in 46 cities including Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Pune, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Noida, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Agra, Lucknow, Varanasi, Dehradun, Guwahati, Bhubaneswar, Patna, Durgapur, Ranchi, Thane, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Nagpur, Surat, Vadodara, Bhopal, Indore, Raipur, Rajkot, Jabalpur, Coimbatore, Madurai, Kochi, Calicut, Tirupati, Hubli, Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Vishakapatnam.
Users of Samsung Galaxy A, Galaxy M, Galaxy S, Galaxy F, Galaxy Note, Galaxy Fold smartphones as well as tablets are eligible for the pick-up and drop service.

Consumers visiting Samsung service centres can also opt for drop-only service so that they can get their devices home-delivered post repairs. It’s worth noting that the service isn’t free. A pick-up and drop facility costs Rs 199 while a drop-only service is priced at Rs 99. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the pick-up and drop service is available for non-containment zones falling within municipal limits and with adherence to curfew rules.
