Samsung launched two new ranges of smart TVs in India last year including a lifestyle TV called The Frame, which doubles up as a photo frame when not in use. The company also launched the Smart 7-in-1 lineup, aimed towards millennials and users who prefer online content. The brand has now launched as many as 10 new models in India including The Frame 2020 and a new line-up of smart TVs in various resolutions.
The new online smart TV range is being offered with options like 4K UHD, FHD and HD Ready TVs. Samsung has launched the new lineup as part of the ‘Get More from TV’ campaign on Flipkart and the ‘Wondertainment’ campaign on Amazon. Here’s are all the details
Samsung The Frame 2020 and new smart TVs specifications and features
Speaking of The Frame 2020 first, it retains almost all the features of last year’s The Frame, but is being offered in three variants instead of one. The Frame 2020 comes in 50-inch, 55-inch and 65-inch sizes. The display features Samsung’s QLED technology with a 100 percent colour gamut. The TV also retains the signature feature of turning into a digital frame when not in use. For this, you can enable the Art Mode, which displays over 1,200 digital artworks from around the world. The Samsung Frame 2020 features inbuilt motion and brightness sensors, which are capable of adjusting the screen brightness according to the ambient lighting in the room.
Samsung has also launched a series of online smart TVs including four 4K TVs in 43-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch, and 65-inch sizes. Additionally, there is a 43-inch Full HD model and 32-inch HD-ready TV in the lineup.
All the new TVs equipped with Auto Hotspot technology, USB 3.0 and support voice assistants (Bixby, Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa). Samsung has also equipped the new smart TVs with features like Game Enhancer for lag-free gaming, Content Guide for curated content, Personal Computer Mode, Home Cloud and Music Player. The new range of smart TVs come with native OTT apps like ZEE5, SonyLIV, Amazon Prime, Netflix and Voot.
Samsung The Frame 2020 and new smart TVs price in India
The Samsung Frame 2020 has been priced at Rs 74,990, Rs 84,990 and Rs 1,39,990 for the 50-inch, 55-inch and 65-inch models, respectively. The TV will be sold on Flipkart and Samsung’s official online store. Samsung has not announced the price of 50-inch and 55-inch 4K TVs yet, but the 43- and 65-inch 4K models will retail for Rs 36,990 and Rs 89,990, respectively. The 43-inch FHD model has been priced at Rs 31,990, whereas the base 32-inch HD TV will retail at Rs 14,990. These TVs will be available on Amazon, in addition to Flipkart and Samsung official store.
Samsung has also announced a host of introductory offers like Rs 1,500 cashback for online credit and debit card transactions during the first 48 hours of the sale on Flipkart. Those purchasing one of the new models from Amazon using SBI credit cards will get instant cashback of Rs 1,000.
Samsung is offering 50 percent discount on subscriptions of OTT platforms such as ZEE5 and Eros Now. Moreover, consumers can get a free subscription for music streaming apps such as Gaana Plus for one-year and Apple Music for 3 months. Other freebies include three-month subscription to the Samsung Art Store worth Rs 897 and a free subscription to Office 365, along with 5GB of cloud storage.
