Samsung The Frame QLED TV to be available with a Rs 35,000 discount starting January 19th

Last year, Samsung unveiled its premium smart TV called The Frame, which is a lifestyle TV being offered in 55- and 65-inches. The Frame has been designed to look like a photo frame or art piece when not in use. The South Korean brand dropped the price of the premium television by Rs 35,000 during Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale to bring the price down to Rs 84,990 and compete against OnePlusdebut offerings in the TV industry. Now, on popular demand, the chaebol is bringing back the same deal again for Indian buyers.

Samsung is once again dropping the price of the 55-inch model by Rs 35,000 and the television can be bought for Rs 84,990. In case you opt for pre-paid transactions through credit cards, debit cards and net banking, the price will further drop to 81,990. Samsung will also be taking the pre-orders for the brand-new 65-inch model during the sale period and start shipping it from February 2020. The Flipkart Republic Day Sale will be held from January 19th to January 22nd. Apart from Flipkart, The Frame QLED TV can also be bought from Samsung online store.

The Frame comes with a 4K LED screen accompanied by Samsung’s Quantum Dot technology, 120Hz refresh rate and HDR+10 for realistic viewing experience. The highlight of the television is the Art Mode, which converts the appliance into a picture frame when it’s not in use. Thanks to the QLED panel, the artwork used in Art mode display vibrant colours and rich details. Samsung has also pre-installed an Art Store on the television, from where users can download over 1,200 artworks from around the world. The television has a motion sensor to detect the presence of a person to start displaying art, and an ambient light sensor to adjust brightness automatically.

The TV runs on Tizen OS with support for both Google Assistant and Bixby. This allows users to operate The Frame by using voice commands. Other features include support for Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, Hotstar and AirPlay 2.
