We have recently seen LG’s Wing smartphone featuring dual screens and a swivelling design. Last year, Samsung unveiled the world’s first vertical TV called ‘The Sero’. It was limited to its home market. Today, the South Korean brand has introduced the television in the Indian market.
Samsung’s The Sero TV pivots between vertical and horizontal orientations and is optimised TV for mobile content viewing. The latest offering is aimed at users who want to consume mobile content on a big screen. Rajan Pullan, SVP, Samsung India said that ‘The Sero has been designed to seamlessly adapt and enhance whatever content the user is watching, bringing in a more optimized experience to consumers’.

The Samsung Sero TV features a 43-inch display with the brand’s QLED technology. It offers AI upscaling feature that enhances low-resolution content into 4K quality. There is also Adaptive Picture+ that delivers the best picture quality by analysing the video and surroundings. The television comes with Ambient Mode+ and Always-on display that can be used to display useful information or match the interiors of the home when the TV is not in use.
Samsung’s The Sero TV features minimal bezels with a navy blue-coloured stand and clutter-free wires. The screen can be rotated in either vertical (portrait) or horizontal (landscape) mode, depending on the usage by remote control, voice command and via the SmartThings app. The TV is also capable of rotating automatically to mirror mobile content.
On the audio front, The Sero TV is equipped with 4.1-inch 60W front-firing speakers. It features Active Voice Amplifier (AVA) that increases the volume of the TV if the surrounding conditions become too loud.
The Sero TV is optimised for social media content, streaming services and gaming. It comes with one tap content sharing that will display mobile content in seconds.
Samsung The Sero TV price in India
Samsung’s The Sero TV carries a price tag of Rs 1,24,990. It will be available for purchase exclusively at Reliance Digital stores. The television will come with 10-year no screen burn-in warranty, one-year comprehensive warranty and one-year additional warranty on the panel.
