Samsung Tips Galaxy Note 9 With A Large Battery & Wireless Charging

On: June 14, 2018

Rumors & leaks are doing the rounds on internet about Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note 9. The Note series is notably known for its big screen, giving it a phablet look and feel. Alternatively, it also comes with a stylus to help users make most of the large screen. Now a reliable leaker Ice Universe has revealed on Twitter that the Note 9 is expected to come with a larger battery than its predecessor.

Rumors suggest that the Galaxy Note 9 will be fitted with a 4000 mAh battery unit. This is 700 mAh more than its predecessor, the Galaxy Note 8 which has a 3300 mAh battery. Previously, Samsung had to recall all the units of Galaxy Note 7 due to its battery catching fire. With the Note 8, the brand played it safe and offered a slightly lower capacity of battery. But for the Note 9, it seems that Samsung is again going for a large capacity battery.
Another rumour suggests that Galaxy Note 9 will come with a faster wireless charger.

Ice Universe has also leaked images of the protective case of the phone which shows a possible horizontal camera setup and the fingerprint scanner will be positioned below it. The horizontal camera setup will accommodate the large battery pack since the battery is the thickest and biggest module in a smartphone.

Aside from the battery, the Galaxy Note 9 will feature a 6.4-inch display slightly larger than the Galaxy Note 8. Under the hood, it will be equipped with either a power efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset or an Exynos 9810 SoC (depending on the market).

The Note 9 isn’t expected to come with a new design apart from the repositioned rear camera and fingerprint scanner. But Samsung is known for releasing their products in various color variants. Continuing the traditions, the Galaxy Note 9 will also ship in five color variants i.e. Midnight Black, Titanium Gray, Lilac Purple (to be called Lavender now), Coral Blue and a new Brown model which has not been named yet.

The Galaxy Note 9 will be the first Samsung device to pack a 4000 mAh battery. It will give long lasting battery life and a better performance. These are just rumors and we still have to wait for the official release of the phone. Samsung might launch the Galaxy Note 9 at the beginning of August.
