Vivo has geared up to launch a new phone dubbed Vivo V5s in India. Vivo has begun rolling out invites to a press event scheduled for April 27. Selfie lovers brace yourselves because this upcoming smartphone will be selfie-centric, much like previously introduced Vivo V5 and Vivo V5 Plus. Same thing applies as far as design is concerned. That said, the V5s will boast of a similar metal unibody design.
Reports indicate that the Vivo V5s will sport a 5.5-inch 720p display with 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Inside is the same MediaTek MT6750 processor and 4GB RAM. Up front will be a huge 20-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. The rear consists of a 13-megapixel primary camera with f/2.2 aperture and PDAF. It packs in a 3,000mAh battery under the hood in addition to 64GB expandable storage.
On the connectivity front, the Vivo V5s is said to offer 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Micro USB 2.0, and 3.5mm headphone jack. Even though no price details are known just yet, the device is expected to cost somewhere around Rs 18,500. The phone will be available in Gold, Rose Gold, and Space Grey colours.
Vivo recently launched the V5 Plus limited IPL edition, boasting of a Matte Black finish with the Vivo IPL logo engraved on the rear.
