A week ahead of the launch date, Vivo has officially unveiled these two selfie focused smartphones. The company has unveiled the much awaited Vivo V5 Plus with a dual front camera setup along with a low-end version V5 Lite.
Vivo V5 Plus is a dual SIM phone and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Funtouch OS 3.0 on top. It is equipped with an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. The phone houses 64GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 256GB with a MicroSD card. It also features a fingerprint scanner integrated into the home button.
The major focus of the company is on camera specs of the phone which will decide the success of the phone. It features a dual front camera setup with a 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 sensor and a depth-sensing 8-megapixel sensor. With the dual camera functionality, the Vivo V5 Plus is capable of producing Bokeh effect similar to iPhone 7 Plus. On the rear, it features a 16-megapixel camera with LED flash.
It sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. It packs in a 3450mAh battery also features 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS. It is available in gold colour option only, and the availability and price will be revealed on 23rd January.
Coming on to the Vivo V5 Lite, it sports a 5.5-inch HD display and is powered by an unnamed octa-core processor clubbed with 3GB of RAM. It packs in a 3000mAH battery and runs on Funtouch OS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Unlike V5 Plus, it will be available in two colours – Crown Gold and Rose Gold. It also supports 4G VoLTE and dual SIM functionality. The Vivo V5 Lite features a 16MP front camera and a 13MP rear camera with LED flash.
