SHARP launches air purifier cum dehumidifier range in India: price, specifications

SHARP has launched two new air purifiers in India. The DW-J20FM-W and DW-E16FA-W are also laced with dehumidifiers to remove excess moisture in the air.

SHARP Air Purifiers with de-humidifiers: specifications and features

Both the air purifiers come with Sharp’s Plasmacluster Ion Generator Technology, which eliminates airborne mold, viruses and bacteria. They are equipped with a HEPA Filter to remove PM 2.5 particles, activated charcoal filter to remove smoke and chemical fumes and a mesh-type pre-filter for larger particles. The laundry drying feature can help deodorize room-dried laundry with high concentration Plasmacluster ions, according to the brand. They are also capable of working on home inverters during power cuts, and come with features like child lock, dust and light sensors, and tank full indicators.

SHARP DW-E16FA-W Air Purifier

The DW-J20FM-W sports a coverage area capacity of up to 550 square feet and dehumidifying capacity of 20 litres per day. The filter can last for five years, while the operating timer can work from one hour to twelve hours. It comes with a monitor that displays real-time PM 2.5 and humidity levels, while displaying the current temperature as well. It weighs 16.7kg and measures 359mm x 665mm x 301mm.

The DW-E16FA-W is a toned-down version of the former with an area capacity of 300 square feet and dehumidifying capacity of 16 litres per day. The filter life is rated at 2.5 years, while the real-time monitor displays only humidity levels. The purifier’s operating timer can function for two hour, four hour and six hour time stamps. The purifier weighs 12.2kg while its dimensions are 360mm x 565mm x 260mm.

SHARP Air Purifiers with de-humidifiers: price and availability

The SHARP DW-J20FM-W is priced at Rs 40,000, while the SHARP DW-E16FA-W has a price tag of Rs 35,000. Both the products are available for buying at leading retail outlets. The company will also ensure the availability of spares and consumables for a period of five years after the models are discontinued in India.
