Given that several users who had pre-ordered the PS5 in the past have had their orders cancelled by various retailers, the news about the July 3rd shipping will be a big relief for those who managed to place an order today. PS5 starts shipping in early July for Indian customers

According to the IGN report, Sony might start sending out the orders in the first week of July. However, it has been reported that the company is facing a shortage of PS5 units and it would be difficult for the company to restock frequently, possibly due to the ongoing lockdown situation in various parts of the country.

The PS5 went on pre-order at 12pm IST on Sony’s ShopAtASC, Amazon India, Flipkart and other retailers, and the units went out of stock within a few minutes. Sony has already instructed stores not to force buyers to purchase additional accessories with the PS5.

The PS5 is priced at Rs 49,990 for the standard disc version, and Rs 39,990 for the digital version. We expect the next re-stock dates to be announced soon.
