Sony has launched three new audio devices in India including two wireless neckband speakers and a wireless transmitter. The former is SRS-NB10 and SRS-NS7 while the latter carries model number WLA-NS7.

Both the Sony SRS-NB10 and SRS-NS7 come with a neckband style design. However, unlike earphones, the devices don’t come with earbuds since they are wireless neckband speakers. On the other hand, the WLA-NS7 wireless transmitter offers 360 spatial sound via compatible Sony headphones. Let’s take a look at these devices below.

Sony SRS-NB10 and SRS-NS7 specifications and features

Both the Sony SRS-NB10 and SRS-NS7 come with a flexible neckband for a comfortable fit. The wireless neckband speakers feature a fabric finish for a premium experience. The SRS-NS7 is slightly wider compared to the NB10 as it houses various speakers. The devices are also IPX4 certified splash-proof. The wireless neckband speakers also come with various buttons including mute, power, Bluetooth and volume rocker. 

The Sony SRS-NB10 and SRS-NS7 are differentiated in terms of audio. The latter is a more premium offering among the two. The former is equipped with a full-range speaker with passive radiators and advanced audio signal processing. The SRS-NB10 also features Precise Voice Pickup technology that uses two microphones delivering crystal-clear voice quality on calls. 

On the other hand, the SRS-NS7 is claimed to be the world’s first Dolby Atmos compatible wireless neckband speaker with Sony’s Bravia XR models. It also features 360 spatial sound and 360 reality audio. The SRS-NS7 is equipped with an upward-facing X-Balanced speaker unit and a passive radiator. 

Both the Sony SRS-NB10 and SRS-NS7 are capable of connecting to two devices simultaneously. The former is backed by a 20-hour battery life whereas the latter offers 12 hours of playback time. Both audio devices support fast charging via a USB-C port and come with Bluetooth 5.0 support.

Sony WLA-NS7 wireless transmitter specifications and features

The Sony WLA-NS7 is a small circular wireless transmitter. It works with compatible Sony headphones and the device can be connected to Bravia XR TVs with 360 spatial sound for an immersive movie experience. The 360 spatial sound personalizer smartphone app is capable of analysing the shape of the user’s ears to create the ideal arrangement of virtual Dolby Atmos speakers around the user. 

Sony SRS-NB10, SRS-NS7 and WLA-NS7 price in India

The Sony SRS-NB10 and SRS-NS7 carry a price tag of Rs 11,990 and Rs 22,990. The former comes in Charcoal Grey and White colours. The WLA-NS7 costs Rs 5,690. All three devices will be available starting January 24th from Sony centres, e-commerce portals and major electronics stores across the country.
