MWC 2019: Sony Announces Xperia 10, 10 Plus and L3

Alongside the launch of the flagship Xperia 1, Sony also announced three mid-range smartphones at MWC 2019. Let’s take a look at the technical specifications, pricing and availability of the devices.

Xperia 10 and 10 Plus

Beginning with the Xperia 10 Plus, the smartphone features a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with a tall 21:9 aspect ratio. The Xperia 10 comes with a smaller 6-inch display bearing HD+ resolution. Both the devices sport a horizontally stacked dual rear camera setup. The module on Xperia 10 Plus comprises of 12MP + 8MP cameras, whereas the Xperia 10 features 13MP + 5MP sensors. Both the devices get an 8MP front shooter for selfies.

On the hardware front, the Xperia 10 Plus runs on a Snapdragon 636 SoC paired with 4GB RAM. The Xperia 10 is equipped with a Snapdragon 630 processor with 3GB RAM. In terms of storage, both the devices offer 64GB inbuilt memory which can be expanded up to 512GB via a microSD card.

The Xperia 10 Plus and Xperia 10 are backed by 3,000mAh and 2,870mAh batteries respectively. Both the smartphones are equipped with side mounted fingerprint scanners.

Xperia L3:

The Xperia L3 is the most affordable offering from Sony. It comes with toned-down specs. The device features a 5.7-inch HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio screen. A MediaTek 6762 processor aided by 3GB RAM drives the L3. There is a dual 13MP + 2MP camera setup on the rear and an 8MP front snapper. The Xperia L3 draws its power from a 3,300mAh battery. It runs the dated Android Oreo out of the box.

Pricing and availability:

The Xperia 10 will be available in Navy, Black, Silver and Pink colour options, while the Xperia 10 Plus will come in Navy, Black, Silver and Gold hues. They will be available in select markets starting February 25th in single-SIM and dual-SIM variants. As for the Xperia L3, it will be available in Silver, Black and Gold hues starting February 25th in select markets, in both single and dual-SIM version. Pricing hasn’t been announced yet, but we’ll update this post once we have the details.
