The Sony Xperia Ace 2 has appeared on benchmarking platform Geekbench. The smartphone was recently also spotted on the Google Play Console by MySmartPrice. Both listings show the device with model number SO-41B, and reveal similar specifications hinting at an imminent launch.
The upcoming Xperia Ace 2 is expected to arrive as the successor to the original Xperia Ace that had launched way back in 2019. Sony isn’t very active in the smartphone market but it still launches a few devices every year. Read on to find out what the Geekbench and Play Console listing reveal about the Xperia Ace 2.
Sony Xperia Ace 2 spotted on Geekbench
The Geekbench listing reveals that the Sony Xperia Ace 2 will be powered by an MT6765V/WA chipset that corresponds to the MediaTek Helio P35 clocked at 2.30GHz. It scores 170 points in single-core tests and 941 points in the multi-core test. The smartphone will pack 4GB RAM onboard. It will run Android 11 out of the box. Apart from this, the Geekbench listing doesn’t reveal any additional information about the Xperia Ace 2.
As per the Google Play Console listing, the smartphone will feature an HD+ display with a 300 ppi pixel density and a U-shaped notch. The core specifications of the device on the Play Console also corroborate the Geekbench listing, including the Helio P35 SoC, 4GB RAM and Android 11.
Other specifications of the Xperia Ace 2 like display size, camera configurations, and battery capacity are not known yet.
