Sony has added a new smartphone to its Xperia L range by quietly launching the Xperia L4. The brand’s latest offering has arrived as a mid-range phone with almost non-existent bezels on the sides, and a slim top and bottom. The Xperia L4 features a tall display with a 21:9 aspect ratio. The device has a triple camera module on the back, which is placed vertically on the top-left corner. The Xperia L4 is the successor to the Xperia L3, which was launched in February last year. Just like the Xperia L3, the Xperia L4 also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The Sony Xperia L4 offers a 6.2-inch display bearing a resolution of 1,680 x 720 pixels and a waterdrop notch above it. Under the hood, the handset packs in an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 12nm processor, which is paired with the IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The phone is equipped with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of winternal storage, which can be further increased up to 512GB by inserting a microSD card. Sadly, software-wise, the device boots Android 9.0 Pie, not the latest Android 10 version.
At the rear, the Sony Xperia L4 has a 13MP primary camera with an aperture of f/2.0. The main sensor is accompanied by a 5MP 117-degree ultra-wide-angle lens with an aperture of f/2.2. There’s another 2MP shooter for depth-sensing capability with an aperture of f/2.2. In the front, the handset has an 8MP snapper featuring an aperture of f/2.0. In terms of connectivity, the device offers 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C, NFC, and A-GPS. A 3,580mAh battery with fast charging support completes the list of the specifications.
