Sony Mobile may be close to becoming irrelevant in the smartphone market but the company isn’t ready to give up completely just yet. The Japanese brand is currently working on its next-generation mid-range smartphone lineup, which will include the direct successor to Xperia XA2 Plus. Thanks to a trusted source, we have some exclusive information regarding the pricing and availability of the Xperia XA3 Plus to share with you.
Sony Xperia XA3 Plus Will be Priced at EUR 519
According to our source, the Sony Xperia XA3 Plus will be priced at EUR 519 in most European markets. That’s a significant jump compared to the launch price of the Xperia XA2 Plus in Europe. We can only hope that the smartphone will have impressive hardware specifications to justify the higher price tag. Sadly, however, we have no information regarding the key features of the Xperia XA3 Plus. What we can confirm, is that the Xperia L3 will also be making its way to Europe.
The Xperia XA3 Plus will be available in three colors at launch – Black, Gold, and Silver. It is expected to come with a large display measuring over 6-inches diagonally with Full HD+ resolution and an 18:9 or higher aspect ratio. Since the current Xperia XA2 Plus runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 octa-core processor, we can expect the Xperia XA3 Plus to run on a newer and more powerful Snapdragon 600-series chipset.
Sony Xperia L3, on the other hand, will come with a 5.7-inch sized panel offering 720 x 1440 HD+ resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio. The Xperia L3 is also expected to offer a dual-camera setup at the rear, along with a fingerprint sensor mounted on the right side. In terms of software, we expect the Sony Xperia XA3 Plus and the Xperia L3 to ship with Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. While no official confirmation has arrived yet, we can expect the Xperia XA3 Plus, Xperia XA3, and the Xperia L3 to be unveiled at Sony’s CES 2019 press conference next month. At CES 2018, Sony announced the Xperia XA2, Xperia XA2 Ultra, and the Xperia L2 smartphones.
