Japanese tech company Sony is reportedly working on its upcoming Xperia smartphone, the XZ4. Now, leaked CAD-based renders and a 360-degree video have given us a better glimpse of the device. The leaks come from reliable tipster OnLeaks in collaboration with CompareRaja. Let’s take a look below:
As per the leaked images, there are thick bezels at the top and bottom ends of the display. The sides also look thick and in terms of dimensions, it reportedly measures 139.9 x 66.5 x 9.3mm. The device features dual front firing stereo speakers with one at the top and the other below the display. The XZ4 Compact is fitted with a 5-inch screen and offers a tall 18:9 aspect ratio.
On the flip side, the Xperia XZ4 Compact sports a glass panel. It is seen featuring a single camera setup at the top left corner with LED flash. The front camera is also accompanied by LED flash. The XZ4 features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button. Sony has retained the 3.5mm headphone jack located at the top. There is a USB Type-C port at the bottom.
Other specifications of the XZ4 Compact have not been revealed in the leaked renders. The device will be launched as a toned-down variant of the flagship XZ4. But one can expect the Compact model to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest flagship Snapdragon 855 processor.
As of now, there are no details regarding the launch, but it’s likely that Sony will unveil its next flagship at MWC in February 2019.
