Xperia XZs is Sony’s latest flagship device which was recently unveiled at MWC 2017 in last month along with another flagship Xperia XZ Premium. The company also unveiled two smartphones in XA series – Xperia XA1 and Xperia XA1 Ultra. Earlier, Sony planned to launch the device on 4th of April in India, but now launching it a day ahead.
Talking about specs, the Xperia XZs sports a 5.2-inch FHD display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Under the hood, a quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM runs the show. The same chipset also powers the other flagship devices such as Xperia XZ, OnePlus 3, LG V20, Asus ZenFone 3, Xiaomi Mi5, and Lenovo Z2 Plus. It was the flagship chipset by Qualcomm which is now succeeded by SD821 and the latest SD835.
Sony Xperia XZs runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and draws its power from a 2900mAh battery. It also supports fast charging thanks to Qualcomm 3.0 Quick Charge technology. The phone also gets water and dust resistance with IP65 and IP68 respectively. It comes in two storage variants – 32GB and 64GB. Talking about camera department in which Sony is known to excel, the Xperia XZs features a 19-megapixel rear camera which comes with Predictive Capture, Anti-distortion shutter, Triple image sensing technology, Predictive Hybrid Autofocus, 5-axis stabilisation, 4K video recording and also supports super slow motion 960fps video capture. On the front, it houses a 13-megapixel snapper with Exmor RS mobile image sensor.
