Spotify offering 3-month free subscription to new Premium subscribers

Spotify offers four kinds of premium plans, such as Student, Individual, Duo, Mini, and Family. However, the 3-month free subscription offer is only available to those who avail the premium subscription of the Student or Individual plan. Here is how to get the 3-month free subscription.

  1. Open Spotify.com/premium in the web browser or launch the Spotify app on your phone.
  2. Click on Student or Individual plan.
  3. A login page will show up, where users can signup for a new account or login if there is an existing account through a Google account, Facebook, or phone number. For students, Spotify will check whether they are enrolled at an accredited college or university before showing the login page.
  4. Select the premium plan and click on Buy Now after entering payment details, such as card number, expiry date, security code, and postal code.

While it asks users to enter the payment details, it does not deduct any amount. Spotify states that if the user does not cancel the subscription before the end of the 3-month period, the user will be charged the subscription fee every month automatically. It should be noted that the Student plan is priced at Rs 59 per month, whereas the Individual plan costs Rs 119 per month.

In addition, Spotify has a different offer for those who opt for a premium subscription to the Family or Duo plan. Instead of a 3-month subscription, the company is offering a 1-month free premium subscription of the Family or Duo plan. The above-mentioned steps can be followed to get the offer. After availing the offer, one can either cancel the plan by the end of the month or pay Rs 179 (Family) or Rs 149 (Duo) per month to continue using it.
