Dual-rear cameras have been in the trend since early 2017. Initially, flagship phones started the trend, eventually mid-range smartphones began coming with dual-camera setups as well. Swipe has now brought this trend to entry-level phones. The Swipe Elite Dual costs just Rs. 3,999 and comes with two cameras on the back. This is by far the cheapest phone to come with this feature. Let’s see what else it has to offer.
Beginning with the phone’s major highlight, the dual rear camera setup. There’s an 8-megapixel sensor coupled with a 2-megapixel one to offer various additional functionalities. The brand hasn’t specifically mentioned about its capabilities as of yet. On the front, you get a 5-megapixel selfie camera which is decent enough in this price range. To brighten your selfies in low-light, there’s a front flash provided in this phone as well.
The Swipe Elite Dual fits a 5-inch display, which is protected with a ‘shatter-proof’ glass. At this price range, it is really appreciable that the display gets some additional protection. The phone comes in three different colours: Black, White and Gold.
In terms of performance, the phone runs on a 1.3GHz quad-core processor. It is coupled with 1GB of RAM to aid in multi-tasking. The phone gets 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded with the help of a dedicated microSD card slot. Out of the box, it has Android Nougat but we can expect an upgrade to Oreo in the coming months.
The Swipe Elite Dual is powered by a 3000mAh battery unit. It has all the basic connectivity options including WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and 4G VoLTE.
Talking about the phone itself, Founder and CEO of Swipe Technologies, Shripal Gandhi said, “Keeping in mind the demands and needs of the audience, and the latest trends we are glad to bring Elite Dual at such an affordable rate. We foresee that Swipe shall bring a change in the mobile photography market of India with the launch of this most affordable dual camera smartphone.”
The Swipe Elite Dual is available for purchase exclusively on ShopClues starting today.
