- Tata Sky Binge will soon be available on personal devices
- A dedicated Tata Sky Binge app and website is in the works
- Tata Sky Binge users will be able to stream content from 7 major OTT apps
Tata Sky Binge will soon be available on personal devices including smartphones and tablets. Notably, Tata Sky Binge+ is an OTT service by the DTH provider offering content from 10 providers in one platform. The service has been priced at Rs 299 per month by the DTH provider.
However, despite paying the premium fee for the service, Tata Sky users were limited to watching Binge+ content only on their TVs. This put off many subscribers who would have signed up for the service had it been available for more device. According to a new report, the largest DTH provider is now developing a dedicated Tata Sky Binge app as well as a website for personal devices.
Tata Sky Binge users can soon stream on phone, tablets, and computers
First spotted by Television Buzz, the Tata Sky Binge app is under development and the website is already up and running. However, when we tried visiting the Tata Sky Binge website, we found a blank white page. We can expect the app and website to go live in the coming days.
Users are required to sign up on the app and website using their Binge subscriber detail and OTP verification. After logging in, the service will show the current plan that the user is subscribed to. Tata Sky Binge subscribers will be able to link up to three devices per subscriber ID. However, the number of screens that can play content simultaneously will be dictated by OTT service providers.
As of now, only seven out of 10 OTT services provided by Tata Sky Binge+ will be available on the app and website. The Tata Sky Binge app will offer content from Disney+ Hotstar, ZEE5, Voot Kids, CuriosityStream, ShemarooMe, Voot Select, and Hungama Play. The remaining three apps include Eros Now, SonyLIV, and SunNXT, which will be available only on TV as of now.
