At the ongoing CES show in Las Vegas, TCL has forayed into the smartphone segment. The company has announced the TCL 10-series of smartphones which includes the TCL 10 Pro, 10L and 10 5G. The TCL 10 series come with premium specifications and features. All three smartphones sport quad-rear cameras and TCL-made displays. TCL says that it will officially launch the devices at Mobile World Congress, Barcelona on February 22nd. Let’s take a look at what we know about the TCL 10 series so far.
TCL 10 5G specifications and features
As the name suggests. the TCL 10 5G is the company’s first 5G-enabled smartphone. It is confirmed to be powered by Snapdragon 765G chipset with an integrated 5G modem. Design-wise, the smartphone features a punch-hole at the top left corner of the display, which is an AMOLED panel. The back panel has a horizontal quad-camera module. A physical fingerprint scanner is placed below it. The camera details are not known yet, but the renders reveal a 64MP primary sensor and a macro sensor. The back panel also flaunts a reflective holographic design.
TCL 10 Pro specifications and features
The TCL 10 Pro is the brand’s first smartphone with an edge-to-edge AMOLED screen and a waterdrop notch display. It features an in-display fingerprint scanner. On the back panel, the 10 Pro has a glowy pattern instead of a holographic design. The camera setup on this device is the same as the TCL 10 5G.
TCL 10L specifications and features
The TCL 10L is the base variant in the lineup. Like the 10 5G, this one too comes with a punch-hole design for the selfie camera at the top left corner. The smartphone features a quad-camera setup comprising of a 48MP main sensor and a macro lens. There is a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The TCL 10L flaunts a reflective glass design with a diagonal pattern.
TCL 10 series pricing and availability
TCL has shared little information about its newly announced smartphones. The company says that the lineup will start at under $500 (~Rs 36,000). The smartphones will be available in the US and Canada from the second quarter of 2020.
