TCL has announced three new TV series in India which include the P8S, P8E, and P8. The televisions range from 43-inch to 65-inch display sizes. All three TV series are Google-certified Android TVs backed by AI functions.
The TCL P8S is a flagship TV offered in 55-inch and a 65-inch display. The P8E features a full-screen bezel-less design while the P8S and P8 have a metallic frame. The P8E is available in four variants of 43, 50, 55 and 65-inches, while the standard P8 comes in 43, 50, and 55-inch models. The TCL TV range boasts of a 4K display resolution with HDR 10+ support, micro dimming, and wide colour gamut. There is a Sports Mode feature, that enhances the perception of an on-going match. On the audio front, the TVs are equipped with stereo speakers along with support for Dolby Audio and Bluetooth audio. TCL has included AI features like AI picture engine and sound engine.
The televisions offer AI voice interaction using the remote control with a built-in microphone. Additionally, the remote has dedicated buttons to access apps like Google Assistant and Netflix. The TVs come pre-installed with apps like YouTube, Netflix, Prime Video, Hotstar, Voot, and more. The TCL P8 Series runs Android Pie with built-in Google Assistant. The TVs feature FarField Technology that lets users control the TV through voice commands. Using AI, the television can also control smart connected devices like lights, curtains and smart fans.
Pricing & Availability:
The premium 65-inch P8 Supreme model is priced at Rs 64,990 while the 55-inch variant will cost Rs 44,990. The base variant of P8 Elite starts at Rs 29,990 and goes up to Rs 59,990 for the 65-inch model. The standard P8 carries a price tag of Rs 27,990, Rs 39,990, Rs 39,990, and Rs 57,990 for the 43, 50, 55 and 65-inch models respectively.
With the new TVs, TCL looks to take on Xiaomi, Samsung, LG, and other brands in the Indian television market.
