Tecno has expanded its range of smartphones in India with the launch of the Camon 12 Air. The phone has arrived as a budget offering with a triple camera setup at the rear. The Camon 12 Air is the company’s first smartphone to flaunt a punch hole inside the display to house the selfie camera. The phone has landed in India following the launch of the Tecno Spark 4, which is also a pocket-friendly offering with a triple rear camera setup.
Tecno Camon 12 Air specifications and features
The Tecno Camon 12 Air sports a 6.55-inch HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and a screen-to-body ratio of 90.3 percent. The phone is powered by MediaTek’s octa-core Helio P22 processor that offers a clock speed of 2.0GHz. The device comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage, which can be further increased up to 256GB by inserting a microSD card. Software-wise, the phone boots HiOS 5.5, which is based on Android 9 Pie. For security, the handset has a fingerprint sensor, which is placed at the rear panel.
In the camera department, the Tecno Camon 12 Air sports a 12MP primary camera , which is accompanied by a 2MP secondary snapper, a 5MP third camera, and a quad LED-flash unit. The handset also offers Bokeh mode, AI HDR, AI Beauty, and support for Google Lens. In terms of connectivity, the device offers 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and A-GPS. The Tecno Camon 12 Air has been priced competitively at Rs 9,999. The smartphone will be available across channels in Bay Blue and Stellar Purple colour variants. As for the recently launched Tecno Spark 4, the phone is available Rs 7,999 for the base variant with 3GB RAM + 32GB of storage and for Rs 8,999 for the 4GB + 64GB model.
