Tecno Phantom V Fold foldable phone seems to be in the works. Earlier this month, a couple of upcoming Tecno devices received certification from the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). Tecno’s first foldable phone, with the model number AD10, was also approved by the EEC authority. The certification revealed that the device would debut with the “Tecno Phantom V Fold” moniker.
The same device has now bagged approval from the Bluetooth SIG authority. This certification hints that it may not take too long for it to go official.

Tecno Phantom V Fold Bluetooth SIG certification

Tecno Phantom V Fold Bluetooth SIG certification
The Tecno AD10 device has appeared with the Tecno Phantom V Fold in the database of the Bluetooth SIG authority. The listing states that the device supports Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity.
Unfortunately, nothing else has surfaced through the Bluetooth certification. Devices are known to go official within a month of appearing in the Bluetooth SIG database. Hence, there is a possibility that the Phantom V Fold may go official in January 2023 or at least in Q1 2023.
At present, Samsung is the only brand offering flagship phones in India. Its vertical folding phone, the Galaxy Z Flip 4, and its horizontal foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z Fold 4, are priced at Rs 89,999 and Rs 1,54,999, respectively. The Phantom V Fold could be a horizontally foldable phone, which could be significantly less expensive than the Z Fold 4.
Now that the Phantom V Fold has been spotted at Bluetooth SIG, it is also expected to get approved by other certification sites in the coming weeks. Hopefully, more details on the foldable phone will soon surface in the coming days.
