Tecno will Manufacture its Phantom V Fold In India: Price, Sale Date Officially Confirmed

Tecno Phantom V Fold India price and sale date have been confirmed. The company also said it had started producing its foldable phone in India. Under its ‘Make in India’ initiative, the Phantom V Fold is being manufactured in the company’s Noida facility.  

The Phantom V Fold was first showcased at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023 in February, and now it will soon be available for purchase in India. With a price of under Rs 80,000, it will arrive as the most affordable foldable phone in the country. It will rival the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, which is the only other horizontally foldable smartphone in the Indian market.

Tecno will officially announce the Phantom V Fold on April 11th, 2023. It has been confirmed that the V Fold will be priced at as low as Rs 77,777 through an early access offer for initial buyers on Amazon. The early access will start on April 12th, 2023, in India.

The Tecno Phantom V Fold is expected to arrive in three variants, such as 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 512 GB of storage. An earlier report revealed that these models will be priced at Rs 89,999 and Rs 99,999, respectively, without the early bird offer. It is expected to arrive in black and white colour variants.

Tecno Phantom V Fold specifications

The Phantom V Fold has a 6.42-inch AMOLED LTPO cover display that offers an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. On the inside, it features a 7.85-inch foldable AMOLED LTPO panel that offers a resolution of 2,000 x 2,296 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. It runs on HiOS flavored Android 13 OS.

For selfies, it has a 32-megapixel camera on the cover screen and a 16-megapixel snapper on the inner display. On the back, it has a circular camera module that houses a 50-megapixel main camera, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera, and a dual-LED flash.

The Phantom V Fold is equipped with the Dimensity 9000 Plus, 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It has a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging.
