Tecno Phantom X has launched in India today. To recall, the device had debuted in the African market in June last year. The smartphone packs flagship-level specifications and is the most premium offering from the brand to date.

In India, the Tecno Phantom X comes with the same specifications as the African variant. The smartphone falls in the mid-range price bracket and competes against the likes of the Realme 9 Pro+ 5G, Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge, iQOO 9 SE, and others in the market.

Tecno Phantom X specifications and features

Beginning with the display, the Tecno Phantom X boasts a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with curved edges. It offers an FHD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and an integrated fingerprint scanner. There is a pill-shaped cutout housing front cameras at the top left corner of the screen. The smartphone has won the iF Design Award. 

The Tecno Phantom X comes with a vertical rectangular camera module located in the centre of the back panel. The setup comprises a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 13MP portrait shooter. On the front, the dual selfie camera setup includes a 48MP primary shooter paired with an 8MP ultra-wide lens. 

Under the hood, the Tecno Phantom X is equipped with an Helio G95 processor. It packs 8GB RAM along with 5GB virtual RAM and offers 256GB native storage. There is also a VC liquid cooling system for reducing the device’s temperature. The smartphone draws its power from a 4,700mAh battery unit with support for 33W fast charging. 

The Tecno Phantom X runs on Android 11 with HiOS layered on the top. Connectivity options on the device include a USB-C port, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
