Tecno Phantom X2 Pro 5G India launch has been confirmed. The company unveiled the Phantom X2 5G on January 5th and made it available for purchase on January 9th, 2022. The Twitter handle of Tecno India has confirmed that the Phantom X2 Pro will be “coming soon” to India. In addition, it has also been confirmed that the pre-booking of the Pro model will begin on January 17th, both through Amazon and retail stores.
The Phantom X2 Pro and Phantom X2 are packed with identical specs. However, they are equipped with a very different rear camera. The Phantom X2 Pro is the world’s first smartphone with a retractable portrait lens.

50 lucky customers who pre-book the Phantom X2 Pro through Amazon or retail stores will be able to upgrade to the Phantom X35G for free. In addition, Tecno is also providing a special discount of Rs 2,000 as a part of the launch promotion. As mentioned above, the company will start receiving the pre-orders starting on January 17th, 2023.
Tecno Phantom X2 Pro 5G specifications
The Phantom X2 Pro 5G has a 6.8-inch AMOLED FHD+ display with curved edges. It offers Full HD+ resolution, up to a 120Hz refresh rate, and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The Dimensity 9000 chipset is present under the hood of the device. It will come with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
The Phantom X2 Pro has a 5,160mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. It has a 32-megapixel camera on the front for selfies. The rear camera setup of the phone comprises a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel portrait camera with a retractable lens. In comparison, the Phantom X2 features a 64-megapixel (main, with OIS) + 13-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (depth) triple camera unit. As mentioned above, the other specs are identical on both phones.

There is no word on the price of the Phantom X2 Pro 5G yet for India. The Phantom X2 is available for Rs 39,999. It remains to be seen whether the company will sell the Pro model in India for less than Rs 50,000.
