Tecno POVA 2 India launch date confirmed: specifications, expected price

Tecno POVA 2’s launch date for India has been confirmed. It will be arriving as the successor to last year’s POVA. A landing page of the POVA 2 with its renders and key features is now listed on Amazon India.

The entire specifications of the POVA 2 are already known since it debuted in the Philippines in June. The mid-range smartphone is powered by a chipset that is optimised for gaming. In addition, it is backed by a humungous battery with fast charging support. The other exciting features of the POVA 2 include an enormous display and an AI-driven 48-megapixel quad-camera system.

The Tecno POVA 2 has a 6.9-inch IPS LCD display with a punch-hole design. It offers a Full HD+ resolution, a 60Hz refresh rate, and a 180Hz touch sampling rate. The Helio G85 chipset is present under the hood of the device.

The POVA 2 is equipped with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage. The device houses a massive 7,000mAh battery that carries support for 18W fast charging. It is preinstalled with HiOS 7.6 based on Android 11.

The front side of the POVA 2 is fitted with an 8-megapixel camera with dual flash support. The rectangle-shaped camera module on its back has a 48-megapixel main camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera, a 2-megapixel depth assist lens, an AI lens, and a quad-LED flash unit. The other features that are available on the device include a microSD card slot, a side-facing fingerprint scanner, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Tecno POVA 2 price in India

In the Philippines, the POVA 2 is available for PHP 7,990 (~Rs 11,800). Probably, the POVA 2 will carry similar pricing in India, and it is expected to arrive in colours like black, silver, and blue.
