Tecno POVA with Helio G80, 6,000mAh battery launched in India: price, specifcations

Tecno POVA, the brand’s first gaming smartphone was launched in Nigeria and the Philippines last week. Tecno has now introduced the device in the Indian market.

The Indian variant is the same as its Nigerian counterpart but comes in two RAM and storage configurations. The Tecno POVA falls under the sub-12k price bracket and offers decent specifications. It will be competing against the likes of Redmi Note 9 (review), Realme 6i (review), Redmi 9 Prime (review), Infinix Zero 8i in the country.

The Tecno POVA sports a 6.8-inch punch-hole display with HD+ resolution. The back of the phone houses a conventional fingerprint scanner with a rectangular camera module. Design-wise, the Tecno POVA sports a gradient rear panel. 

The Tecno POVA is powered by a MediaTek Helio G80 SoC. The smartphone also packs a 3D multilayer graphite and thermal conductive gel to keep the operating temperature low. The device is offered in two variants w.r.t RAM and storage i.e. 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB. There is a microSD card slot for additional storage expansion up to 256GB via microSD card slot. The Tecno POVA is backed by a massive 6,000mAh battery unit with 18W dual IC fast charging support. 

On the imaging front, the Tecno POVA features a quad-camera setup comprising a 13MP main sensor, 2MP depth sensor, 2MP macro shooter and an AI lens. The punch-hole cutout on the front houses an 8MP selfie snapper. 

Tecno POVA price in India

The Tecno POVA has been launched at a starting price tag of Rs 9,999 for the 4GB + 64GB variant in India. The 6GB + 128GB option is priced at Rs 11,999. It is offered in Magic Blue, Speed Purple and Dazzle Black colour options. The smartphone will go on sale on Flipkart from December 11th at 12pm.
