Tecno Spark 8’s India launch has been tipped. GSMArena has learned through its sources that the smartphone will be launching in the next week in India. As the name suggests, the Spark 8 will succeed the Spark 7 that was announced earlier this year.

Tecno announced the Spark 8 in Nigeria last week. As compared to the Spark 7, its successor offers new features like a new rear design and an improved chipset. Here is all the information on the specifcations of the Spark 8.

The Spark 8 has a 6.5-inch LCD HD display with a waterdrop notch. It features an 8MP front camera. At the back, it sports a unique square-shaped camera module that houses a 16-megapixel main camera, an AI lens, and a quad-LED flash. The module also houses a fingerprint scanner.
The MediaTek Helio P22 chip powers the Spark with 2GB of RAM. It offers 64GB of internal storage and it runs Android 11 (Go edition). It comes with a microSD card slot.
The Spark 8 is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that sports 10W charging. It offers other features like dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, a microUSB port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The Spark 7 that launched in Africa and India had one key difference. The African variant came with a 5,000mAh battery, whereas the Indian model featured a larger 6,000mAh battery. Hence, it remains to be seen whether the Indian edition of Spark 8 will offer a bigger battery.
Tecno Spart 8 price in India (expected)
At present, there is no concrete information on the pricing of the Spark 8 for India. The Spark 7 featured a starting price of Rs 6,999. Hence, the Spark 8 is likely to arrive with similar pricing.
