Tecno Spark Go Plus with 6.52-inch display and 4,000mAh battery launched for Rs 6,299

Chinese smartphone maker Tecno has launched its latest smartphone called the Spark Go Plus in the Indian market today. The phone has arrived as the company’s newest entry-level offering in the country. The Spark Go Plus is essentially the rebranded version of the Spark 4 Lite, which was launched in Pakistan recently. Just like other budget handsets from the brand, the Tecno Spark Go Plus also comes with minimal bezels on the sides, a slim chin, a waterdrop notch above the screen, and a fingerprint sensor that’s placed on the back of the phone.

Talking about the design first, the Tecno Spark Go Plus features a polycarbonate body and an attractive gradient design on the back panel. The phone has a 6.52-inch in-cell display bearing a resolution of 1,600 x 720 pixels, 20:9 aspect ratio, and 89.5 percent screen to body ratio. Software-wise, the handset boots HiOS 5.2, which is based on Android 9.0 Pie (Go edition). For security, the device offers a fingerprint sensor at the rear.

Under the hood, the Tecno Spark Go Plus packs a 2.0GHz quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 processor, which is paired with 2GB of RAM. Onboard is 32GB of native storage, which can be further increased up to 128GB by inserting a microSD card. In the camera department, the handset has an 8MP camera on both the front and rear featuring f/2.0 aperture. The rear camera is paired with a dual-LED flash unit, while the selfie snapper has a single LED flash. The connectivity features include 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS. A beefy 4,000mAh battery completes the list of the specifications.

The Tecno Spark Go Plus is priced affordably in India at Rs 6,299. The phone comes in Vacation Blue and Hillier Purple colour variants, and will be available across channels.
