Actor Vijay has a massive fan following in the south, and just the tentative title announcement of his next film has raised anticipation among the fans. After giving a massive hit, Varisu, in 2022, Vijay will be seen in another film, Leo, aka Thalapathy 67, the official title of which is yet to be announced. Some reports also state that the film might be titled ‘Leo.’
Leo: OTT Release Details – When and Where to Watch
The first look of Leo, previously called Thalapathy 67. was revealed recently and was loved by the fans. As per reports, the film is expected to release on October 23, 2023. The satellite rights for the film have been given to Sun TV.
Meanwhile, digital rights for the film have been given to an OTT giant and post the theatrical run, fans can watch Leo on Netflix. An official announcement regarding the digital premiere is awaited.
Leo: Cast and Crew
Co-written by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Deeraj Vaidy and Rathna Kumar, Leo (Thalapathy 67) is directed by Lokesh himself. The actor-director duo comes again together for a film after a gap of 2 years. Previously Vijay and Lokesh worked together on the 2021 release Master, which was a massive hit and was loved by the audience for its storyline. Besides Vijay, the film stars names like Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Priya Anand, Gautam Menon and others. A report published online also stated that actor Arjunan’s daughter would also debut with this film.
Leo is produced by Lalit Kumar and Jagadish Palaniswamy under Seven Screen Studios’ banner. The cinematography of the film is managed by Manoj Paramahamsa, while the editing is done by Philomin Raj. Ace composer Anirudh Ravichander has given the music of the film, and so far, one song, ‘Bloody Leo,’ has been announced by the makers. Leo will mark Anirudh’s fourth collaboration with Vijay and third with Lokesh.

Leo: Title Announcement and Poster Launch
The premise of the film has not been revealed yet; however, the makers, on February 3, 2023, released the official title of the film. Previously called Thalapathy 67 tentatively, the film is officially named Leo. The video uploaded on YouTube received over 20 million views in a day. The song promo was released by Sony Music on the YouTube channel.
Director Lokesh Kanagaraj also took to Twitter to share the official poster of the film.

Leo: Pre-release Buzz
As per reports, the makers had agreed to retain the crew from the previous films. The filming for Leo began in January 2023, and names like Philomin Raj, Anbariv, Dinesh Kumar, N. Sathees Kumar and others were signed for technical aspects of the film. The team wrapped the Kodaikanal schedule in January 2023, and the Kashmir schedule for the film is expected to begin in February 2023.
