Tata Nexon EV is also getting a JET Edition facelift

Highlights

  • The Nexon EV was recently refreshed with the entry-level Prime variant
  • We expect pricing to be in line with the Nexon EV Prime
  • In addition to exclusive dual-tone exterior colours, the interiors are also getting a new coat of paint

Following the release of the Nexon EV Prime in July, Tata Motors has now teased the EV in a JET Edition version. Tata announced the launch of its JET Edition SUVs last week, which included the non-electric Nexon, Harrier and Safari, with no mention of the Nexon EV. However, in a video uploaded to YouTube this week, the automaker has confirmed that the Nexon EV will also receive the JET Edition facelift, which is seemingly inspired by “Business Jets”.

In line with the rest of the newly unveiled JET Edition models, the Nexon EV will receive Jet Black alloy wheels in addition to silver skid plates. The body of the EV will feature a platinum roof and a bronze paint job.

The interiors are also being upgraded slightly, with oyster white and granite black colours (dual tone). This is accompanied by Techno Steel finished bronze accents on the dashboard. The front leatherette seats will sport headrests with #JET embossed on them.

Customers will also find a jewelled control knob for switching between different driving modes (drive, neutral, parking, reverse, etc) with Sport and Eco Drive mode selectors next to them. Other features include a multi-mode regen selector, auto-dimming IRVM, wireless charging for smartphones, and an AQI indicator paired with an air purifier.

Tata Nexon EV JET Edition Price, Availability

The new Nexon EV JET Edition will complement existing electric models like the Nexon EV Prime (also available in Dark Edition) and the Nexon EV Max. Tata hasn’t disclosed pricing information yet, but we expect it to cost between Rs 16 lakhs to 18 lakhs. The manufacturer has been quiet about the official launch date, but given that we know almost everything about the new JET Edition refresh of the Nexon EV, official availability shouldn’t be far away.
