Thomson Launches Android TV Range With 4K and HDR, Prices Start At Rs 29,999

Thomson has introduced a new range of Android TVs in the Indian market. It is the only brand to manufacture the entire range of Android TVs in the country. The latest lineup consists of four display sizes – 43, 49, 55 and 65-inches. The TVs come with a host of premium features at an affordable price tag. Let’s take a look below:

Technical Specifications:

Thomson’s latest TV range boasts of a 4K UHD display resolution along with support for HDR 10. The TVs offer various display modes like user, cinematic, sports, vivid, and hi-bright. In terms of audio, all four TVs are equipped with Dolby Audio and DTS TruSound.

Hardware-wise, the TVs are powered by a quad-core A53 processor with Mali-T860 GPU. It is paired with 2.5GB RAM and offers 16GB internal storage. On the software front, the TVs run on Android 8.1 Oreo. They come with a set of pre-loaded apps like Netflix, Youtube, Google Play, Play Music, and Play Movies. Users have access to over 5,000 TV apps and games. The latest TV range also comes with Google Assistant support for voice controls and an in-built Chromecast for sharing smartphone content wirelessly. The voice-enabled remote control has hotkeys for Netflix and Google Play.

On the connectivity front, the TVs are equipped with 3 HDMI ports, 2 USB ports, an Ethernet port, and Wi-Fi. Users can also connect speakers/ headphones to the TV wirelessly via Bluetooth.

Pricing & Availability:

As for pricing, the 43-inch variant will cost Rs 29,999. The 49 and 55-inch TVs are priced at Rs 34,999 and Rs 38,999 respectively. The 65-inch model carries a price tag of Rs 59,999. The availability is not known at the moment, but the Flipkart listing shows ‘coming soon’ tag so we can expect it to go on sale soon.
