Twitter may soon allow users edit their tweets. Yes, the long-awaited Twitter feature is on the verge of becoming a reality. Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey recently hinted that his company is soon going to let users edit their tweets on the platform, according to a report appeared on Variety. The report further states that Dorsey made these remarks as part of a kind of impromptu public town hall with Twitter users.
Dorsey, is his recent tweet, had this to ask: “Following in the footsteps of Brian Chesky: what’s the most important thing you want to see Twitter improve or create in 2017? #Twitter2017” Soon after the tweet, there were multiple requests by users to bring an edit button for tweets. Dorsey then hinted that Twitter is working to allow for the correction of typos, according to the report.
Dorsey also responded a user asking for the ability to edit tweets and organize Twitter lists: “Edit mistakes quickly or edit anytime? Big dif (difference) in implementation. Latter requires change log as we’re oft (often) the public record.” Furthermore, users also asked Dorsey to take measures against harassment and hate on Twitter. Dorsey responded to this by saying that bringing transparency was a “big priority” for the company.
