Twitter’s Paid Blue Tick Service To Roll Out From November 29; Here’s What Users Will Get

  • Twitter Blue, along with the verified badge, will be available to anyone willing to pay $8 per month from November 29
  • Elon Musk announced the new date on his Twitter handle
  • The prices for Twitter Blue may vary from country to country

Twitter‘s ‘chief twit’, Elon Musk, stated that the Twitter Blue membership would return on November 29, allowing users to pay $7.99 monthly for additional functionality and the blue checkmark. The initial roll-out of Twitter Blue had to be put on hold days after it was launched due to “impersonation”. However, now it is coming back later this month.

“Punting Blue Verified relaunch to November 29 to ensure that it is rock solid,” Musk stated in a tweet.

Musk announced the paid-verified accounts on November 1, a week after acquiring the social media giant for $44 billion. Previously, the blue checkmark was reserved for verified accounts of politicians, celebrities, journalists, and other public figures.

However, under the existing paradigm, it will be available to everyone willing to pay $8 (about 660) per month. However, the prices for Twitter Blue may vary from country to country, as per the purchasing power parity.

The new Twitter Blue will also offer priority replies, mentions, and searches along with the Blue checkmark. Moreover, Twitter Blue users will have fewer ads compared to non-paying users. Besides, it will allow users to post long-form videos and audio.
