The movie stars Jayam Ravi and Nayanthara in the lead roles. Iraivan is the two actors’ second film together, post Thani Orvan in 2015. Sudhan Sundaram and G. Jayaram are the producers. I. Ahmed is the writer and director of Iraivan. It is a Yuvan Shankar Raja musical. Hari K Vedanth is the cinematographer. And editing is done by Manikanda Balaji.  Iraivan is also Jayam Ravi and the director Ahmed’s second movie together after Jana Gana Mana. Passion Studios is the production company involved in the making of the film. Reports peg Ravi will essay the role of a cop in Iraivan.
