Tata Motors launched its Tigor EV in August 2021, and now the company has unveiled its updated version. The update includes new features, a longer range, and the addition of two new variants. The Tigor EV is now available in four variants XE, XT, XZ+ and XZ+ Lux. Here’s everything you need to know about the updated Tigor EV.
Tata Tigor EV features and specifications
The updated Tigor EV gets 9km of extra range and will deliver up to 315km of range on a single charge. It is backed by a 26kWh battery pack paired with an electric motor that produces 74 BHP of peak power and 170 Nm of peak torque. The new Tata Tigor EV also features the four-level regenerative braking mechanism, which is already available on the Tata Nexon EV twins and the all-new Tata Tiago EV.
Moreover, the update brings several premium features such as rain-sensing wipers, auto headlamps, cruise control, leatherette upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, Zconnect, smartwatch connectivity, iTPMS, and a tyre puncture kit.
Interestingly, Tata will provide some of these new features like multi-mode regen, iTPMS and tyre puncture kit to existing Tigor EV owners. Besides, the higher-specced XZ+ and XZ+ dual-tone variants will also get a smartwatch connectivity upgrade.
