Varisu’s non-theatrical rights were sold for Rs. 150 crores, including the satellite, digital, audio, and dubbing rights. The satellite rights to the film belong to Sun TV. The movie also faced legal trouble with the Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI) for using elephants. It’s written and directed by Vamshi Paidipally. Dil Raju, the well-known producer-distributor, is the producer of Varisu. The film is made under the banners of Sri Venkateswara Creations and PVP Cinema. Actors Vijay, Rashmika Mandanna, R. Sarathkumar, Jayasudha, Srikanth, Shaam, Prakash Raj, Prabhu, Yogi Babu, Sangeetha Krish, and others feature in the film. Thaman S. collaborated with Vijay for the very first time and composed the film’s music.
Times of India, The News Minute, and Cinema Express gave the film 3.5 out of 5 stars, while India Today, The Indian Express, and News18 rated the film 3 out of 5 stars.
