For users in India, Vi (Vodafone Idea) has rolled out a new entry-level prepaid plan at an affordable price. The telecom firm has launched a Rs. 99 plan for 200MB of data and Rs. 99 worth of talktime. According to Vi, the pack is valid for 28 days. With the new recharge plan, Vi is effectively offering its cheapest monthly recharge plan, but subscribers will not be able to make unlimited calls or receive free SMS messages. Also, subscribers will not be able to use Vi’s “Binge All Night” benefit, which offers unlimited data between 12 am and 6 am.
Benefits of the Rs. 99 prepaid recharge plan
The Vi Rs. 99 prepaid plan includes 200MB of data and talktime worth Rs. 99 for 28 days, according to the telecom operator’s website. There is a 2.5p/sec charge for local and national calls. Standard SMS charges apply and there are no free SMS benefits.
Vi prepaid recharge plans with similar prices
Vi’s similar-priced Rs. 98 prepaid plan comes with 200MB of data and unlimited voice calls. The validity of this pack is only 14 days, unlike the Rs. 99 recharge. After the data quota is exhausted, users will be charged 50p/MB for SMS messages. Vi does not offer unlimited night data access as part of its Binge All Night benefit from 12 am to 6 am, like the Rs. 99 plan.
While Vi’s Rs. 129 recharge plan comes with 18 days of validity, it provides the same benefits as Vi’s Rs. 98 prepaid tariffs. Prepaid plans priced at Rs. 149, Rs. 155, and Rs. 208 are available to users who want more data quota. The Rs. 149 and Rs. 155 plans offer 1GB of data for 21 days and 24 days, respectively, whereas the Rs. 209 plan offers 4GB of data for 28 days.
In addition to unlimited calls and SMS, these plans also offer unlimited data. If users recharge via the Vi app, they can also get an additional 2GB of data with the Rs. 209 prepaid plan. Moreover, Hero has announced benefits like binge all night, weekend data rollover, and Data Delight for plans worth Rs. 299 and above.
