Vi or Vodafone Idea recently hinted that it might take the initiative and raise the tariff in India by the end of this year. It seems that the telecom operator has taken the first step in this direction. A couple of Vi postpaid plans have been revised by the telco silently. The revised plans are part of Vi’s family postpaid plan line-up.
Notably, Vi has a total of four postpaid family plans starting from Rs 598 (now revised) and going up to Rs 1,348 for the RedX family plan. These family plans offer a slew of unique benefits including a minimum of one additional add-on connection, unlimited calls, high-speed data, free SMSes and OTT memberships. Let’s take a look at revised Vi postpaid plans and their benefits.
Vi postpaid plans of Rs 598 and Rs 749 price hiked in India
Vi’s postpaid plans from Red Family lineup earlier started from Rs 598, but the price has been revised to Rs 649 with a hike of Rs 50. The next Vi postpaid plan was priced at Rs 749, which has also been increased by Rs 50 and now retails at Rs 799. The other two plans continue to retail for Rs 999 and Rs 1,348.
The Rs 649 plan offers a free add-on connection with 80GB data benefit, unlimited voice calling to any network within India and 100 SMSes per month. The 80GB data benefit is split between the primary and add-on connections, where the former gets 50GB and the latter gets 30GB data.
Additionally, the primary connection is entitled to Amazon Prime annual subscription and annual ZEE5 Premium subscription worth Rs 999 each. The plan also offers an annual subscription of Vi Movies and TV to both primary and add-on connection.
As for the Rs 799 plan, it offers three connections including one primary and two add-ons. The plan offers 120GB data, of which the primary connection is entitled to 60GB and add-on connections get 30GB each. Other benefits of this plan remain the same as that of Rs 649.
