Vi or Vodafone Idea has partnered with Viacom 18-owned Voot OTT platform to offer free Voot Select access to Vi users. As part of Voot Select, Vi users will be able to access the premium content library of the OTT service. With this move, Vi will be able to entice more users to subscribe to its network and Voot will be able to gain more inroads in the Indian OTT market.
Voot offers its Select subscription to users individually at a nominal monthly or yearly charge. However, with the new partnership, Vi users will be able to enjoy the service for free. Vi will offer Voot Select content through its own streaming platform called Vi Movies & TV. Let’s take a look at all details of the new offer.
Vi is offering free access to Voot Select: how to avail
As mentioned, Voot Select will be accessible to Vi users at no cost through Vi’s own Vi Movies & TV streaming platform. The standard price of the subscription is Rs 99 per month or Rs 399 per year. As of now, no other telco in India is offering a free Voot Select subscription to its users and Vi is the first one to do so. This should help the telco to gain new users and retain old users.
The Vi Movies & TV platform already offers over 1,000 hours of content including close to 9,500 movies in 13 vernaculars and over 400 live TV channels. In addition, Voot offers over 40,000 hours of video content with some of them accessible only to Voot Select users. Some popular titles include Asur, Illegal, The Gone Game, Big Boss, Top Gear, Shark Tank, Tin Star, The Office, and Pink Collar Crimes, among others.
