Videocon Metal Pro 2 With 5-inch HD Display Launched for Rs 6,999

India’s consumer technology brand Videocon has launched a budget-segment smartphone dubbed as Videocon Metal Pro 2. The phone carries a price tag of Rs 6,999 and will be available for purchase through retail stores across the nation. It comes in gold and space grey colour options and the company is also offering 100 days replacement warranty on the device. Users will also get a one-year subscription of Eros Now for free with the purchase of the device.

Specs-wise, the Videocon Metal Pro 2 sports a 5-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. In the heart lies a quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor beating at 1.25GHz. Furthermore, the phone gets 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage further expandable up to 128GB. The smartphone runs the latest Android 7.0 Nougat.

The Videocon Metal Pro 2 is a Dual SIM smartphone and also extends support for 4G VoLTE. Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth, Micro-USB port with OTG support, GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack. For shutterbugs, the smartphone puts on a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 3.2-megapixel front facing camera. The device measures 145.2 x 72.6 x 8.4 mm and weighs 133 grams. Powering all, there’s a 2000mAh non-removable battery packed inside the body. The phone, however, lacks a fingerprint scanner which is common these days even for the budget devices.
