Vivo has announced the launch date of its Vivo APEX 2020 concept device today. The device was supposed to be showcased during MWC 2020, but the event got cancelled due to the coronavirus threat. Now, the manufacturer has revealed that the concept phone will be launched on February 28th in Beijing. The phone is likely to host a refresh rate of 120Hz and one of the images also showcases this number. Additionally, the device can be seen sporting a circular camera configuration on its back panel along with a periscope zoom lens. The upcoming phone will succeed the Vivo APEX 2019 that features a port-less and button-less design.
Speculations and rumours about the upcoming device have hinted at an under-display camera for video calls and selfies. Ultra fast charging support can also be expected. However, not much has been revealed so far and this is all we know as of now.
In related news, Vivo is gearing up to launch the Z6 5G in the Chinese market. The phone will be announced on February 29th and will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G octa-core processor under the hood. In the optics department, the handset will feature a quad-camera configuration and for security, it will come with a fingerprint sensor. The punch-hole display will hold a selfie snapper while the handset is likely to be launched in Black, White and Blue/Purple gradient shades.
