It was earlier reported about the Vivo iQOO Neo being equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processing chipset. Ahead of its official launch on July 02, the company is teasing some important features of the iQOO Neo smartphone, which was teased last week. If you don’t know already, Vivo unveiled some impressive new technologies yesterday during MWC Shanghai 2019, including its first commercial 5G smartphone (iQOO 5G), AR Glasses, 5G Cloud Gaming, and 120W Super Flash Charge battery charging technology.
iQOO, Vivo’s new smartphone sub-brand, has teased on Chinese social media website Weibo that the iQOO Neo will be powered by a 4500mAh battery. It will also feature Vivo’s 22.5W Flash Charge rapid battery charging technology. These features were teased through an image which was posted using the company’s official Weibo account. We already know that the iQOO Neo will come with a large AMOLED screen, an under-screen optical fingerprint reader, a U-shaped screen notch for the selfie camera, and a triple-camera setup on the rear of the device. The iQOO Neo runs Android 9 Pie-based custom UI. The phone will be offered in two colors: Black and Purple.
The iQOO, which is Vivo sub-brand’s first ever smartphone, was first announced and subsequently released in the Chinese market in March 2019. It uses a premium build (with metal chassis and glass covering on both sides), the Snapdragon 855 chipset, up to 12GB RAM, up to 256GB internal storage, 6.41-inch Super AMOLED screen with a U-shaped notch, Android 9.0 Pie with Funtouch 9 UI, 12MP+13MP+2MP triple-camera on the rear, and a 12MP selfie camera on the front.
In terms of connectivity, the iQOO has a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type-C port, NFC, dual-SIM card slot, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, and Bluetooth 5.0. It is powered by a 4000mAh battery with 44W Flash Charge technology in the highest-end variant. Lower priced variants of the phone use 22.5W fast charging technology instead.
